Rat True wrote Wet Kiss’s first rave review in the popular street magazine The Big Issue. “Wet Kiss slides between genres with flirtatious ease where the album marries the opulent drama of the 1920’s with the 2020’s against-everything attitude. Wet Kiss is the only band in the world right now and they’re going to be so huge six months from now you’re going to wonder how you survived without them."
Wet Kiss fired Pig and persuaded Jordanne Chant to be their manager. They went on a National tour and played in small clubs across Australia. Brenna had become an underground legend for her impressive business manoeuvres and her on stage screaming. The record was released in May 22nd and by June, just as soon as things started to feel too cushy when the stench of a career began to bubble she bounced to Berlin, taking daniel dog with her.
Later that year during a Berlin snowy winter the rest of the band took the leap into Europe and Wet Kiss undertook a small tour of the UK and Berlin in November. Berlin was the dark sided setting of She’s So Cool, the cigarettes and cocaine she alluded to were no longer fantasies but common realities and within this seedy world of Berlin she fostered her next 2 years.
